Officer-in-Charge Mr. Renato S. Salas conducted its 2-day benchmarking and mid-year performance assessment in PTC-Iba, Zambales
June 2-3, 2023 | The Provincial Training Center-Calumpit headed by Officer-in-Charge Mr. Renato S. Salas conducted its 2-day benchmarking and mid-year performance assessment in PTC-Iba, Zambales, to ascertain the specific best practices and methods being implemented by the office on achieving its targets, specifically in curriculum development, partnership and linkages, implementation and monitoring of Quality Management System (QMS) and on the qualification of Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II’s curriculum development and innovations in view of System for TVET Accreditation and Recognition Program (STAR) national validation.
PTC Iba Center Administrator Dr. Eugene I. Peñaranda and Senior TESD Specialist Mr. Jonathan Alvior acknowledged and answered some questions from PTC Calumpit’s staff regarding curriculum validation, post-training activities, industry partnership, and linkages, implementation of various TVET scholarships and employment tracking and monitoring. PTC Calumpit staff was given the opportunity to visit the Center’s workshops while Dr. Peñaranda highlighted the benchmarking activity with the remarks “Always cooperate with the leader, work as a family with unity and teamwork”, as an effective performance appraisal for the team.
On the other hand, OIC Mr. Salas and Vocational Instruction Supervisor (VIS) Lawrence M. Ramos led the Mid-Year Performance Assessment thru the discussion of individual duties and responsibilities, presentation of reports of the program focal persons, and catch-up planning for the remaining targets in the OPCR for FY 2023. Mr. Salas reiterated the essence of good communication with teamwork to achieve PTC Calumpit’s commitment to pursue improvements in its operations and to provide quality services to clients.
