PTC Calumpit Celebrates National Women’s Month with Tree Planting Initiative

As part of the National Women’s Month Celebration, the Provincial Training Center – Calumpit held a tree planting activity on March 20, 2024. The activity was held at the PTC-Calumpit urban garden and participated by the PTC-Calumpit and Bulacan Manpower and Livelihood Training Center (BMLTC) personnel, trainers and trainees from Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC I, Driving NC II, Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II, and Dressmaking NC II.

The successful execution of this initiative was spearheaded by Ms. Mareen Jia Regalado, Gender and Development (GAD) focal of Provincial Training Center-Calumpit, in collaboration with Mr. Fernan Dealca of Bulacan Manpower and Livelihood Training Center (BMLTC). Mr. Dealca, gave recognition to women for their valuable contribution to the society, and discussed the importance of tree planting activity to all participants. Different seedlings such as Talong, Okra, and Sili were planted. The trainees were assigned to monitor planted seedlings to ensure that they grew and prospered.

The primary goal of Provincial Training Center-Calumpit in organizing this activity was to encourage everyone especially the young generation, the learners to contribute and take good care of the environment and also provide a sense of community and empowerment for women.
