Twenty-four graduates of the Barangay Health Services (BHS) program in San Miguel, Bulacan
Twenty-four graduates of the Barangay Health Services (BHS) program in San Miguel, Bulacan, have successfully completed and passed a rigorous competency assessment conducted from December 15-17, 2023. This assessment marks a significant milestone in a community-based training initiative, a collaborative effort between the Local Government Unit of San Miguel Bulacan and the Provincial Training Center-Calumpit. The commitment to this initiative was formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement signed in March 2023, emphasizing the delivery of high-quality training and technical assistance to enhance the skills of barangay health workers (BHW).
The primary objective of this agreement is to certify and equip the barangay health workers (BHW) of the municipality, ensuring they meet standardized criteria and are fully prepared to deliver exceptional services within the rural communities of San Miguel, Bulacan.
Facilitated by Registered Nurse Mr. Mark Anthony Tapispisan, the training received invaluable assistance from the Multi-Regional TESDA Online Program (MRTOP), which played a pivotal role in enabling participants to successfully navigate the national competency assessment. The distribution of National Certificates to the graduates was efficiently managed through the T2MIS e-certification system, streamlining the certification process and reinforcing the value of skilled Filipino workers.
