TESDA PO Bulacan Joins the Nationwide 18-day Campaign to End VAWC

In support of the nationwide 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC), the TESDA Provincial Office Bulacan actively participated in various advocacy activities led by the Philippine Commission on Women. These included the use of TWC’s All-Women Cast Lupang Hinirang video, the recitation of the PCW Prayer to End VAWC, the wearing of orange shirts every Wednesday, and the posting and distribution of IEC materials to raise awareness. The observance culminated in a two-day activity held on December 5–6, 2025 in Sitio Pinag-Agawan, Sapang Bulak, DRT, Bulacan, featuring an Orientation on RA 9262 by Administrative Officer V Ms. Rowena T. Tolentino, team-building and educational games, a film showing of “Bata, Bata… Paano Ka Ginawa?” a film that depicts societal issues affecting women, motherhood, and empowerment, reinforcing the core message of the campaign, and a Nature Appreciation Activity at Mount Brigino.

Highlighting data from UN Women and the Philippine National Police which report that 1 in 3 women worldwide experiences violence and over 33,000 VAWC cases were recorded in the Philippines last year, Acting Provincial Director Neil G. Santioque emphasized the importance of vigilance and collective support in combating this issue. The activity fostered learning, reflection, and renewed commitment among employees, reaffirming TESDA Bulacan’s dedication to promoting gender equality, safeguarding human rights, and contributing to a safer, more inclusive community throughout the year.
