TESDA magdaraos ng  2-day National Assessment Day

 

Ang  Technical Education and  Skills Development Authority (TESDA) ay magdaraos ng 2-day  National Assessment Day para sa mga technical vocational education and training (TVET)  graduates at mga  interesadong  manggagawa na gaganapin sa  June 26-27, 2018 sa lahat ng  accredited assessment centers sa buong bansa.

 

Ayon kay TESDA Director General, Sec. Guiling ‘Gene’ A. Mamondiong, ang isasagawang assessment at certification ay libre kaya dapat itong samantalahin ng mga TVET graduates at mga manggagawa na  nangangailangan nito para sa pag-aaplay ng trabaho.

 

Ang registration ay nagsimula nitong Mayo 21 hanggang  Hunyo 15 taong kasalukuyan na isasagawa sa lahat na mga TESDA District/Provincial Offices at accredited assessment centers sa buong bansa sa pakikipagtulungan sa mga kompanya at industriya, local government units (LGUs), national government agencies (NGAs) at iba pang TVET stakeholders.

 

Ang mga aplikante ay maaring kumuha at mag-download ng Application Form sa https://goo.gl/sluc7c at ng Self-Assessment Guide (SAG) para sa iba’t-ibang qualifications sa TESDA website http://www.tesda.gov.ph.   Ang nasabing mga dokumento ay maari ring makuha sa mga Provincial Offices (POs) at accredited assessment centers para sa mga walk-in at mga interesadong aplikante.

 

Ang mga  application form, SAGs, 3 passport-size pictures, colored, na may puting background na may nakasulat na  pangalan sa likod (Mugshot para sa NCR),  at  iba pang requirements, ay maaring isumite  ng mga  candidate-applicant  sa  mga accredited assessment centers sa malapit na TESDA POs.

 

“The National Assessment Day is a two-day simultaneous conduct of free assessment and certification services on a nationwide scale.  This activity shall be conducted in all accredited assessment centers in partnership with companies and industries, local government units (LGUs), national government agencies (NGAs) and other TVET stakeholders,” pahayag ni Mamondiong.

Aniya, sa pamamagitan nito ay mapabuti pa ang paghahatid ng serbisyo at lalong mapahusay ang oportunidad ng mga  TVET graduates at mga interesadong manggawa na makahanap ng trabaho.

 

Ito ay naglalayon na suportahan at palawakin pa ang kaalaman ng publiko kaugnay sa TESDA Competency Assessment at Certification Program; isulong ang industry acceptance at pagkilala sa  halaga ng certification  para sa katiyakan ng  mga kakayahan ng manggagawa at  mapahusay ang employment opportunities at entrepreneurial prospect sa pamamagitan ng TESDA certifications.

 

Lahat ng TESDA-promulgated qualifications na may Competency Assessment Tool (CATs) ay bukas para sa assessment na sabay-sabay na gaganapin sa buong bansa.

 

Ipinaliwanag ni Mamondiong na ang libreng assessment at certification services ay bukas para sa mga interesadong industry workers na mayroon ng work experience; sa mga career shifters at mga unemployed adults na naghahanap ng trabaho; graduates ng TVET programs; at mga guro, trainers at iba pang individwal na sumailalim na sa pagsasanay sa Trainer’s Methodology l at interesadong maging certified TVET Trainers at TESDA Accredited Assessors.

 

Ang programa ay  pagsuporta sa “Build, Build, Build Program, kung saan dapat na bigyan ng prioridad sa mga qualifications sa ilalim ng  Construction Sector.

 

Ang free assessment at certification services ay maaring makuha lamang ng isang beses. Re-assessment o assessment fee para sa mahigit isang beses ay babayaran na ng kandidato base sa TESDA-Board Approved Fees.

 

Inalerto din ni Mamondiong ang mga assessment centers na mga  Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs), kapwa pampubliko at pribado, na kailangang ihanda ang kanilang mga pasilidad, bilang pagsuporta sa  idaraos na aktibidad  sa panahon ng National Assessment Day.

 

Ang mga accredited assessment centers/o TESDA district/provincial offices ang magpo-proseso sa mga aplikasyon at magsasabi sa mga candidate-applicant kung kailan ang kanilang assessment schedule. (END)

TESDA to conduct 2-day National Assessment Day

 

The Technical Education and  Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is set to conduct a 2-day National Assessment Day for technical vocational education and training (TVET) graduates and other interested workers in all accredited assessment centers nationwide on June 26-27.

 

TESDA Director General, Sec.  Guiling ‘Gene’ A. Mamondiong said that the assessment and certification will be free of charge as he encouraged all TVET graduates to avail of the service to enhance their employment opportunities and entrepreneurial prospects through TESDA certifications.

 

The registration started last May 21 in all TESDA District/Provincial Offices and accredited assessment centers in partnership with companies and industries, local government units, national government agencies and other TVET stakeholders.  Registration will end on June 15.

 

Candidate-applicants for assessment are required to submit an application form, a Self-Assessment Guide (SAG), 3 passport-size colored pictures with white background with their names written on the back (or mugshot for those in the National Capital Region) to the nearest accredited assessment center or TESDA Provincial Office.

 

Application forms may be downloaded from https://goo.gl/sluc7c, while the Self-Assessment Guides for different TESDA qualifications can be secured from the TESDA website (www.tesda.gov.ph).  The same documents can also be obtained from the provincial offices and accredited assessment centers for walk-in applicants.

The TESDA chief said that the event will promote industry acceptance and recognition on the value of certification in quality assuring the competencies of workers.  It also aims to sustain and further expand the public awareness of the TESDA Competency Assessment at Certification Program.

 

All the TESDA-promulgated qualifications with Competency Assessment Tool (CATs) will be available for assessment.

 

Mamondiong also said that the free assessment and certification services will be open to industry workers who have the work experience to perform the competencies as defined in their respective Training Regulations.

 

It is also open to career shifters and unemployed adults who are looking for jobs; graduates of TVET programs; and, teachers, trainers and other individuals who have undergone training under TESDA’s Trainer’s Methodology l and are interested to be certified TVET Trainers and/or TESDA Accredited Assessors.

 

In support to the administration’s “Build, Build, Build” program, priority shall be given to qualifications under the construction sector, he added.

 

The free assessment and certification services can only be availed of once.  Fees for re-assessment or assessment fees for more than one qualification shall be paid by the candidate based on TESDA Board-Approved Fees.

 

Mamondiong alerted all the assessment centers of technical vocational institutions (TVIs), private or public, to prepare their facilities for the National Assessment Day.

 

All accredited assessment centers and TESDA Provincial Offices are tasked to process the application forms and to inform the candidate-applicants of their respective assessment schedules.
