Mass graduation & distribution of tooklits for 228 STEP scholars

March 8, 2024, marked a significant milestone as 228 scholars from the various training programs under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP), sponsored by the Congressional Office of the 5th District of Bulacan participated in the Mass Graduation and Distribution of Starter Toolkits at the RTCCL-Guiguinto’s Gymnasium.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of TESDA III Regional Director Toni June Tamayo, Bulacan Provincial Director Melanie Grace Romero, RTCCL-Guiguinto Center Chief Rheo Henry Rodriguez, KorPhil Center Administrator Kathrine Angeles, Honorable Congressman Ambrosio “Boy” Cruz Jr. of 5th District of Bulacan, and Honorable Mayor Agatha Paula “Agay” Cruz of the Municipality of Guiguinto.

Mr. Rheo Henry Rodriguez extended a warm welcome, paving the way for congratulatory messages from the distinguished guests in attendance.

The graduates from Driving NC II, Dressmaking NC II, Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) NC II, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC I and Process Food by Fermentation and Pickling received their training certificates, starter toolkits and training allowance during the event. They expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity of receiving free skills training and were filled with anticipation for their newfound skills to either in securing employment or initiating their own entrepreneurial ventures. Representatives from each qualification shared their enriching learning experiences and the impact of their TESDA training to their lives and the welfare of their families.

The trainers were also given recognition for their unwavering support, dedication and invaluable contributions throughout the journey of their trainees from the different training programs: Mr. Marvin Sebastian and Mr. Arsenio Milagroso for EIM NC II; Ms. Jesusa Luena and Ms. Cynthia Vicente for Dressmaking NC II, Mr. Aris Sapra and Ms. Jaime Ibay, JR. for SMAW NC I; Mr. Florante delos Santos for Driving NC II and Ms. Lea Ocampo for Process Food by Fermentation & Pickling leading to Food Processing NC II.

This momentous occasion marks the beginning of a promising future filled with opportunities for personal and professional growth of our scholars.
