The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Bulacan actively participated in the 2025 National Women’s Month celebration with the theme “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas.” The month-long celebration featured a series of activities aimed at promoting women’s empowerment and gender equality.
To mark this significant occasion, TESDA Bulacan integrated the All-Women Cast Lupang Hinirang Music Video during the Flag Raising Ceremony for the month of March, as a tribute to the vital role of women in nation-building. Various initiatives were implemented throughout the month, including the distribution of information materials showcasing TESDA’s gender-responsive programs and services, the display of the National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) banner across TESDA Bulacan offices, and active participation in the #PurpleFridays and #PurpleYourIcon campaign by wearing purple every Friday to signify support for gender equality.
Reaffirming its commitment to women’s empowerment, TESDA Bulacan conducted livelihood training programs for women and persons with disabilities (PWDs). On March 15, 2025, a Longanisa and Tocino Making training was held at Heart of Jesus and Mary Parish, San Felipe Subdivision, Mojon, Malolos City. The training, facilitated by Trainer Lea Ocampo, was attended by 34 participants eager to enhance their livelihood opportunities.
Leading up to the culminating event, additional activity was conducted to further promote gender equality and women’s empowerment. On March 25, 2025, the Community-Based Trainers’ Association of Bulacan (CBTAB), led by its President, Mr. Alfred DC. To conclude the month-long celebration, TESDA Bulacan conducted a special event on March 27, 2025, at the RTCCL Gymnasium RSDC Compound, Tabang, Guiguinto, Bulacan. TESDA Bulacan Supervising TESD Specialist, Ms. Daisy C. Former TESDA Bulacan Provincial Director, Ms. Melanie Grace T. Romero, also joined the celebration, reconnecting with her former colleagues.
The celebration continued with a Color Run, with active participation from TESDA Bulacan officials and personnel, followed by a Fire Drill Orientation and Palarong Pinoy as part of TESDA Bulacan’s efforts to integrate Gender and Development (GAD) into health and wellness.
