TESDA PTC Calumpit Launches “TESDA sa Barangay” with Livelihood Training in San Marcos, Bulacan
On January 30, 2026, the TESDA Provincial Training Center–Calumpit (PTC Calumpit), under the supervision of Center Administrator Mr. Renato Salas, in partnership with the Bulacan Manpower and Livelihood Training Center (BMLTC) headed by Mr. Fernan Dealca and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), conducted a livelihood training for the residents of Barangay San Marcos, Calumpit, Bulacan.
The training on Liquid Detergent and Fabric Conditioner Making was held at the Barangay San Marcos Evacuation Center. The livelihood program, facilitated by Ms. Agnes D. Leonor, aimed to equip the 25 participants—mostly stay-at-home mothers—with practical skills for income generation, focusing on the production of basic daily household needs.
PTC Calumpit also provided the participants with starter outputs of the products they made, enabling them to further practice and test the viability of their products for potential livelihood opportunities.
This livelihood training marked a significant milestone as the first among twenty-nine (29) barangays to benefit from the partnership between the Bulacan Manpower and Livelihood Training Center (BMLTC) and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO). The initiative is part of the “TESDA sa Barangay” program, which aims to empower communities through skills development by bringing Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) closer to the people in the barangays.
