Innovative PLC Automation Showcase by TESDA Scholars at RTCCL-Guiguinto

On October 3-4, 2024, the TESDA Regional Training Center Central Luzon – Guiguinto successfully held a two-day skills demonstration event titled “Innovative Solutions in PLC Automation: A Showcase by TWSP EIM NC IV TESDA Scholars.”

The event was graced with the presence and support of notable officials, including TESDA Bulacan Provincial Director Melanie Grace Romero, RTCCL-Guiguinto Center Chief Mr. Rheo Henry Rodriguez, Supervising TESD Specialist Jeffrey Guevarra and representatives from industry partners such as Lloyd Laboratories, Multirich Foods Corporation and Hypertech Wire and Cable.

The two-day event featured automation projects developed by the pioneering batch of 23 scholars from the Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC IV under the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP). The projects featured a Vertical Process with a 3-Floors Mini-Elevator and a Horizontal Process with a 3-Stages Automated Sorting Machine, demonstrating practical applications of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) technology. These demonstrations not only exhibited the practical applications of PLC automation but also underscored the innovative problem-solving skills of the scholars.

Guided by their Trainer Marvin Sebastian, the scholars also engaged in enriching discussions on AutoCAD, basic preventive maintenance for air conditioning systems and concepts related to electrical design for industrial and manufacturing plants.

This event, aligned with RTCCL-Guiguinto’s tagline “Husay at Kasanayan, Tatak RTC-Guiguinto Yan”, promoted continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation in TVET.
