FREE ASSESSMENT PARA SA MGA WORKERS IPAGKAKALOOB NG TESDA

 

Magbibigay ng libreng assessment at certification ang Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) sa mga industry workers upang maipaalam sa mga manggagawa ang kahalagahan ng Competency Assessment and Certification System ng ahensiya.

 

Kasabay nito, hinikayat ni TESDA Director General, Secretary Guiling “Gene” Mamondiong ang lahat ng industry workers na hindi pa sumasalang sa assessment at wala pa ring certification mula sa naturang ahensiya na makiisa sa isasagawang Competency Assessment and Certification for Workers (CACW) Program.

 

Nilinaw ni Mamondiong na hindi kasama sa CACW Program ang mga graduating students o trainees ng TESDA registered programs habang ang mga dumaan na sa assessment at hindi nabigyan ng certification ay hindi rin mabibigyan ng libreng assessment.

 

Aniya, ilulunsad ang nasabing programa na may temang “Basta Certified ng TESDA, Angat Ka” sa darating na July 11 ng kasalukuyan taon sa Tandang Sora Hall, TESDA Women’s Center, Taguig City.

 

Sasagutin ng mga Regional Offices ng TESDA ang gagastusin ng mga mapapabilang sa CACW Program kabilang na dito ang mga qualifications na nakapaloob sa Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP).

 

Target ng CACW Program na makapagbigay ng 51,900 free assessment slots hanggang December 2017.  Kabilang sa maaaring mapagkalooban nito ay ang mga workers/industry practitioners/professional/career shifters; prospective industry assessors; PWDs; public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers; trainers ng private at public technical-vocational institutions (TVIs) at overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

 

Maaaring makakuha ng application form at listahan ng mga requirements sa lahat ng accredited Assessment Centers o sa pinakamalapit na TESDA Provincial Office.  Mag-download ng Self-Assessment Guide (SAG) sa http://goo.gl/sluc7c o buksan ang website ng ahensiya www.tesda.gov.ph/Self_Assessment, upang malaman ang mga competencies na  i aasess.

 

Nakasaad din sa TESDA Circular number 31 series of 2017 na inaatasan ang lahat ng Regional Offices na pumili ng qualifications na kanilang ipagkakaloob sa CACW Program base sa mga industriya na nasa kanilang nasasakupang lugar.

 

Ang Provincial Offices naman ang naatasang maghanda ng listahan ng mga aplikante bawat qualifications, assessment centers, schedule at itatalagang competency assessors base na rin sa nakasaad sa guidelines ng system ng TESDA.

 

Samantala, nagpakita naman ng suporta sa pamamagitan ng paglagda sa “commitment of support” sa CACW Program ang iba’t-ibang industry sectors at associations na kinabibilangan ng Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI),  Honda Philippines, Inc.;  Philippine Constructors Association (PCA), , Confederation of Truckers Association of the Philippines (CTAP), Metalworking Industries Association of the Philippines (MIAP), Philippine Pharmacist Association, Inc. (PPhA), Drugstore Association of the Philippines (DSAP), Tourism Industry Board Foundation, Inc. (TIBFI), Animation Council of the Philippines, Inc. (ACPI), Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Philippines (HRAP), Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP), Department of Agriculture (DA), Semiconductor and Electronics Industries of the Philippines, Inc. TESDA TO GIVE FREE ASSESSMENT TO WORKERS

 

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will give free assessment and certification to industry workers to inform them about the importance of Competency Assessment and Certification System (CACW) of the agency.

TESDA Director General, Secretary Guiling “Gene” Mamondiong also encouraged all industry workers who still have not undergone assessment and have no certification from the agency to avail of the CACW program.

Mamondiong said that the CACW program does not include graduating students or trainees of the TESDA registered programs. He also said that those who availed of the assessment in the past but failed to get certification are not qualified for free assessment.

Mamondiong said that the program will be launched with the theme “Basta Certified ng TESDA, Angat Ka” at the Tandang Sora Hall, TESDA Women’s Center, Taguig City on July 11.

The Regional Offices of TESDA will shoulder the expenses of those who will be included in the CACW program. They will also promote the qualifications needed in the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP).

The CACW program aims to provide 51,900 free assessment slots until December 2017.  Among those included in the program are workers/industry practitioners/professional/ career shifters; prospective industry assessors; PWDs; public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers; trainers of private and public technical-vocational institutions (TVIs) and overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

It is also stated under TESDA Circular number 31 series of 2017 orders all Regional Offices to choose the qualifications which fall under the CACW program based on the covered industry.

The Provincial Offices have been tasked to prepare the list if applicants for qualifications, assessment centers, schedule and competency assessors based on the guidelines of the system of TESDA.

Various agencies have expressed their commitment of support  to the CACW program such as Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI),  Honda Philippines, Inc.;  Philippine Constructors Association (PCA), , Confederation of Truckers Association of the Philippines (CTAP), Metalworking Industries Association of the Philippines (MIAP), Philippine Pharmacist Association, Inc.
