“The program is anchored on President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s agenda of inclusive growth, where every “Juan” must be taken care of in whatever aspect of government services to help them alleviate their living conditions. On TESDA’s part as government agency, basically, the skills training and development programs will be enhanced to serve the people even in the remotest areas of the country”, sabi pa ni Mamondiong.

TESDA’S BKKK PROGRAM SUCCESSFUL – MAMONDIONG

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Director General, Secretary Guling “Gene” Mamondiong has cited the success of the agency’s Barangay Kasanayan para sa Kabuhayan at Kapayapaan (BKKK) program which offers free skills training in remote areas.

Mamondiong said that the BKKK program is instrumental in uplifting the livelihood of the people through free skills training and would eventually help them in their employment.

The TESDA chief said that the agency has sought the assistance of local government units and even the barangays in continuously promoting the program to far-flung areas.

“The program is anchored on President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s agenda of inclusive growth, where every “Juan” must be taken care of in whatever aspect of government services to help them alleviate their living conditions. On TESDA’s part as government agency, basically, the skills training and development programs will be enhanced to serve the people even in the remotest areas of the country,” Mamondiong said.

The TESDA chief traced the success of the BKKK program through the cooperation of barangays nationwide, particularly the leadership of the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas.

Applicants may avail of the BKKK program in three ways: recommendation from the barangays, on-line registration under the agency’s website at www.tesda.gov.ph and walk-in applications in TESDA.

A total of 512 trainees from Region VI (province of Aklan), including members of the ATI tribe, have completed their courses since the BKKK program was implemented seven months ago. ###
