TESDA and DICT Region III Partner to Enhance ICT Skills and Literacy

The TESDA Korea-Philippines Information Technology Training Center Bulacan, one of the training institutions in Region III under the leadership of Regional Director Toni June A. Tamayo, forged a partnership in a ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Region III headed by Regional Director Engr. Antonio Edward E. Padre, on July 3, 2024, at the TESDA 3 Regional Office.

The partnership aims to provide ICT awareness, literacy, and skills development across all sectors of Philippine society on new, emerging, and existing technologies. This initiative will also help raise awareness, skills training, and competency across all sectors of Philippine society using DICT and TESDA-developed and acquired qualifications and programs. Additionally, one of the goals of this collaboration is to provide training to personnel and Filipino citizens with ICT-related training, aligning TESDA IT qualifications with DICT’s IT trainings. This includes curriculum review and enhancement, as well as industry immersion and exposure for both trainers and trainees.
