TESDA Bulacan Hosts 1st TVET Forum: Bridging Skills and Opportunities Towards an Industry-Ready TVET
On February 13, 2025, the 1st TVET Forum in Bulacan was successfully held at the RTTCL Gymnasium, RSDC Compound, Tabang, Guiguinto, Bulacan, bringing together key officials and administrators from various Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs) in the province. The forum aimed to discuss granularization and policy updates on program registration and scholarship under the theme “Bridging Skills and Opportunities Towards an Industry-Ready TVET.”
The event commenced with a warm welcome from TESDA Bulacan Provincial Director, Ms. Melanie Grace T. Romero. In her opening remarks, she emphasized the significance of the TVET Forum not only for TVIs but for the entire province of Bulacan, particularly in strengthening skills training and ensuring employment opportunities for TVET graduates. She highlighted the importance of aligning TVET programs with industry demands, stating that producing a skilled workforce requires continuous awareness and adaptation to evolving job requirements. She concluded her message with a call for active participation from all attendees.
Following the opening remarks, TESDA Bulacan Supervising TESD Specialist, Ms. Daisy C. Superior, delivered a discussion on granularized job requirements and 2025 updates on the scholarship program. Her presentation engaged participants, prompting meaningful discussions and active involvement in the forum.
UTPRAS Focal, Ms. Catherine C. Santos, then provided guidelines and reminders on Program Registration, reinforcing the requirements that TVIs must comply with after being accredited by TESDA. Her discussion was particularly beneficial for newly registered institutions, as it clarified essential compliance measures and best practices.
The event concluded with BATVS President, Mr. Edgardo R. Santiago, expressing his appreciation to TESDA Bulacan and BATVS for organizing the forum. He acknowledged the collective efforts that contributed to its success and reiterated the importance of continuous collaboration between TESDA and TVIs in ensuring the quality and relevance of technical-vocational education and training in the province.
The 1st TVET Forum served as an invaluable platform for sharing knowledge, strengthening partnerships, and reinforcing the commitment of TVIs to uphold excellence in training and education.
