TESDA KorPhil Bulacan and CyberQ Group Sign Historic Agreement to Strengthen Cybersecurity and ICT Training in TVET

A Historical Agreement Signed to Boost Cybersecurity, ICT, and New Emerging Technologies in TVET

A Memorandum of Agreement was officially signed on January 24, 2025, between TESDA KorPhil Bulacan and CyberQ Group to formalize their partnership in Cybersecurity. This landmark agreement promises to significantly impact the new generation of the ICT workforce through various trainings in ICT and emerging technologies.

TESDA KorPhil Bulacan has long been working on becoming the leading Information & Communications hub in Central Luzon through the gradual registration of new and emerging technology programs. Recognizing the expertise of CyberQ Group in Cybersecurity, a collaborative effort was initiated for a pilot project on the Training of Trainers in Cyberthreat Mitigation Level I.

Under the terms of the MOA, TESDA KorPhil Bulacan will be responsible for ensuring that the curricula, modules of instruction, and learning materials are appropriate and compliant with the standards of TESDA. CyberQ Group will contribute existing technologies and computer application packages to provide ICT awareness, literacy, and skills development to TESDA KorPhil Bulacan’s identified beneficiaries. The agreement aims to achieve competencies within the first 2 years of the MOA’s effectiveness.

In a LinkedIn article released by CyberQ Group, CEO-APAC Mr. Roberto Tayag stated, “Cybersecurity is no longer optional—it’s a necessity. The signing ceremony was held at TESDA KorPhil Bulacan and attended by TESDA 3 Regional Director Baron Jose Lagran, TESDA Bulacan Provincial Director PD Melanie Grace Romero, TESDA KorPhil Bulacan Center Administrator Ms. Kathrine Angeles, CyberQ Group Sales Manager-APAC Ms. Catherine Ayroso, and Marketing Consultant Ms. Ma. Dulce Corazon Salacup. The event was marked by a sense of optimism and shared commitment to the goals outlined in the MOA.

This MOA is expected to pave the way for future benefits in the field of Cybersecurity, the ICT sector, and new emerging technologies.
