TESDA III through Bulacan P.O. held it’s second “serbisyo” caravan
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Region III through its Bulacan Provincial Office held it’s second “serbisyo” caravan anchored on the Agency’s latest guiding principle, “Sa TESDA, Lingap ay Maaasahan” at the Victory Coliseum of San Rafael, Bulacan on September 19, 2023. The services included TVET Enrollment on various training program covered by TESDA Scholarship, skills demonstration, distribution of Training Support Fund, awarding of Scholarship allocation to Tech-Voc Institutions, awarding of starter toolkits to the graduates and conduct of mini job fair. This is in support to the “Lab For All” nationwide program of First Lady Marie Louise Araneta-Marcos.
During the activity, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos led the ceremonial awarding of toolkits, distribution of Training Support Fund to the graduates and awarding of Scholarship with TESDA Director General, Secretary Suharto T. Mangudadatu, Ph. D. They were assisted by Deputy Director General for TESD Operations, DDG Aniceto “John” Bertiz III, Vice Governor Alex Castro and San Rafael Mayor, Cholo Violago.
In his speech, Secretary Mangudadatu mentioned that TESDA’s programs and services are in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. advocacy of helping the Filipino people to have gainful employment. Additionally, he emphasized the significance of the advance technology or use of high-tech tools to demonstrate the abilities.
The Skills Demonstration conducted during the caravan are in the area of Hydroponics, showcased by the Bulacan Association of Tech-Voc Schools (BATVS); 3D Printing in Agriculture by KorPhil IT Training Center; Solar Powered Smart House by Regional Training Center Guiguinto; Solar Powered Irrigation System and Motor Control (Mock-up display) by Provincial Training Center Calumpit; Bread/Pastry Making by Fernandez College of Arts and Technology; Coffee Brewing (Barista) by Colegio de San Martin and Bartending (Mocktails Mixing) by Richwell Colleges Incorporated and Faustino-Reloj Training and Assessment Center Inc. Display of TVET products were undertaken as well by Bulacan Association of Agri-Technical School (agri products), Garments (bags and doormats) by PTC Calumpit and Pastries by KorPhil IT Training Center.
The TESDA Serbisyo Caravan was organized by TESDA Bulacan led by Provincial Director Melanie Grace T. Romero with the support of BATVS and several Tech-Voc Institutions. Also present in the program were TESDA III OIC Regional Director Eric O. Ueda, all the Provincial Directors and TESDA Technology Institution Administrators from Region III.
