TESDA PTC-Calumpit Celebrates First Graduation of TWSP Scholars, Empowering Future Welding Professionals

On 25 February 2025, Provincial Training Center – Calumpit headed by Center Administrator Renato S. Salas graced its 1st Graduation Ceremony and the distribution of Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) allowances of scholars held in the Municipal of Calumpit Bulacan. A total of fifty-five (55) TWSP scholars graduated in the 34-day training in the program SMAW NC I and Weld Carbon Steel Plates and Pipes leading to SMAW NC II conducted by TESDA PTC-Calumpit.

The graduation was joined by. Atty. Lyvette San Diego, Chief of Staff of Congressman Danilo A. Domingo, who substantially inspired the graduates to pursue their careers in the construction industry. Also, Councilor Niño Abraham Torres and BMLTC Administrator Fernan Dealca joined the graduation rites, sharing their insights on the importance of technical education which acts as the catalyst for fostering innovation while preparing its graduates for real job employment in the future. They also shared that the graduates may use their newfound technical skills in welding to create their welding service center or continue their education to higher qualification specifically to SMAW NC II and SMAW NC III.

After graduation, the scholars also received their Certificate of Training and the last tranche of their allowance. The graduation rites and distribution of allowance of the TWSP Scholars on SMAW NC I, was also joined by Mr. Lawrence Ramos (Senior TESD Specialist), Ms. Christel Mae Pangan (TESD Specialist II), Ms. Michelle Joy Lorenzo (Registrar II) and Ms. Sean Trevi Simbulan.
