TESDA R3 partakes in the Specialized Inter-Agency Consultation Meeting on the Implementation of the RCEF-Rice Extension Services Program in Region III
A Specialized Inter-Agency Consultation Meeting on the Implementation of the RCEF-Rice Extension Services Program was successfully held on May 24, 2023, at the Merryland Farm and Pavilion in Pulilan, Bulacan. The meeting was attended by esteemed representatives from various government agencies, including TESDA Regional Director Toni June Tamayo, Chief TESD Specialist Juliette Feliciano, Aurora Supervising TESD Specialist Edgardo Suarez, Bataan Provincial Director Ava Heidi Dela Torre, Bulacan Provincial Director Maria Gerty Pagaran, Senior TESD Specialist Daisy Superior, Nueva Ecija Provincial Director Elpidio Mamaril Jr., Tarlac OIC-Provincial Director Leonardo Tabamo, Zambales Provincial Director Melanie Grace Romero, along with DA-ATI Center Director Joey Belarmino and staff from the Department of Agriculture.
The objective of the meeting was to foster collaboration and present the plans and targets in Region III for 2023.
Representatives from each agency gave updates on their accomplishments as well as their issues and concerns regarding the implementation of the program. Throughout the meeting, participants engaged in insightful discussions and exchanged valuable ideas, focusing on the roles and responsibilities of each agency involved in the program. The attendees highlighted the challenges and opportunities specific to their areas of expertise, emphasizing the need for effective coordination and cooperation to achieve the program’s objectives.
Stakeholder engagement emerged as a crucial aspect of the program’s success, as discussed during the meeting. Close collaboration with local government units, farmer associations, and relevant organizations will be sought to promote community involvement and create a supportive environment for the program’s beneficiaries.
The Specialized Inter-Agency Consultation Meeting concluded with a consensus on the importance of continuous progress monitoring, knowledge sharing, and capacity-building initiatives for farmers and extension workers.
