Jobs Fair ikakasa sa National Tech-Voc Day at 24th anibersaryo ng TESDA

 Ikakasa ng Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)  ang jobs fair at financial assistance para sa mga graduates at alumni nito sa darating na Agosto 25 at 26 ng taong kasalukuyan sa lahat ng rehiyon sa buong bansa.

Ayon kay TESDA Director General, Secretary Guiling “Gene” Mamondiong ang Jobs Fair na pinangalanang “World Café of Opportunities through Jobs Linkages and Networking Services”  (WCO through JoLiNS) ay idaraos kasabay sa pagdiriwang ng ahensya ng ika-24 taong anibersaryo at selebrasyon ng kauna-unahang National Tech-Voc Day.

Paliwanag ni Mamondiong, ang pagdiriwang ay nakatuon sa pagbibigay ng tulong at  oportunidad  para sa mga technical vocational education and training (TVET) graduates/alumni.  Ito ay gaganapin ng sabay-sabay sa 17 rehiyon ng bansa para sa mga TVET graduates na naghahanap ng trabaho pati nadin ang pag-aalok ng pautang sa mga  gusto namang magnegosyo.

Dagdag ni Mamondiong, tinatayang 17,000 job vacancies ang inihanda para sa sabay-sabay na isasagawang WCO sa 17 regional sites sa buong bansa kung saan maaring magtungo ang mga TVET graduates para makapag-avail ng nasabing mga benepisyo.

Para maka-avail sa inaalok na trabaho at  pautang, inaanyayahan ng TESDA chief ang mga TVET graduates na  magtungo sa mga sumusunod na WCO Regional site: Cordillera Autonomous Region (CAR), Universitity of Baguio, Baguio City; Region l, CSI Stadia Lacao, Dagupan City; Region ll, Robinson’s Place Santiago City, Isabela; Region lll, Robinson Starmills Pampanga; Region lV-A, SAVEMORE, Sta. Rosa, Laguna; Region lV-B, Provincial Capitol Complex, Calapan, Or. Mindoro;

National Capital Region (NCR), Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City; Region V, Pacific Mall, Legaspi City; Region Vl, Robinson’s Place Pavia, Iloilo; Region Vll, IEC Convention Center of Cebu, Cebu City; Region Vlll, Tacloban City Convention Center, Tacloban City; Region lX, KCC Mall de Zamboanga; Region X,  Robinson Cagayan de Oro; Region Xl, Davao Convention and Trade Center, Davao City; Region Xll, Gaisano Grand Mall Koronadal, South Kotabato; CARAGA, Grand Palace Hotel, Butuan City; Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex, ARMM Compound, Cotabato City.

Sa bawat site, mahigit sa 1,000 job vacancies ang ihaharap sa may 1,000 TVET graduates na naghahanap ng trabaho o magkaroon ng pagkakataong magnegosyo sa tulong ng mga katuwang na mga kompanya na may job vacancies at serbisyo ng mga government agencies.

Sinabi ni Mamondiong na ang WCO through JoLiNS ay magsisilbing ‘one-stop shop’ sa pamamagitan ng sama-samang pagtutulungan ng mga ahensya ng gobyerno, pribadong mga kompanya, tech-voc institutions at financing institutions upang magdaos ng job fair para sa mga iaalok na mga trabaho, trainings at financing opportunities at maayos na job-skills matching sa mga TVET graduates at iba pang gustong mag-avail sa nasabing mga serbisyo.

Karamihan umano sa mga iaalok na trabaho ay sa kontruksiyon alinsunod sa Build, Build, Build Program ni Pangulong Rodgrigo Duterte.

Kasabay nito, ang mga TVET graduates /alumni ay maaring mag-aplay ng loan na maari nilang gamitin sa pagnenegosyo katulad ng pagpapatayo ng bakery, sa mga nagtapos ng baking, hair salon sa  nagtapos ng hairdressing, automotive shop sa automotive mechanic, welding shop sa mga welding graduates.

Kung matatandaan, ang WCO through JoLiNS ay inilunsad noong Agosto 7, 2018 kung saan 13 government institutions at 6 na pribadong organisasyon ang lumagda sa Memorandum of Understanding na nangakong tutulong sa matagumpay na pagdaraos ng 2 na araw na aktibidad na ito.

Ang 13 government agencies  na signatory sa MOU ay ang Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) , Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Tourism (DOT), Department of Trade and Industries (DTI), Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) Office of the Cabinet Secretary (OCS), Overseas Workers Welfare  Administration (OWWA), at Philippine Overseas Employment and Administration (POEA).

Habang  ang  anim na mga  private associations/organizations ay kinabibilangan ng Federation of the Philippine Industries (FPI), Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Philippines (HRAP), Philippine Constructors Association (PCA), Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Technical Vocational Schools and Associations of the Philippines (TEVSAPHIL), at Tech-Voc Schools Association (TVSA).

Ang aktibidad na ito ay parte ng isang linggong celebrasyon ng TESDA simula Agosto 20 hanggang 26. Ang ilan pang tampok na programa ay ang ang institutional awards ng ahensya bilang pagpaparangal sa mga katuwang nitong industriya at lokal na pamahalaan, TVET trainers at matatagumpay na mga TVET graduates sa pamamagitan ng Kabalikat Award, Tagsanay Award, at Idols ng TESDA. (END)

Nationwide jobs fair to mark TESDA 24th anniversary and National Tech-Voc Day

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will hold jobs fair and provide financial assistance to its graduates/alumni in all the 17 regions nationwide to mark the agency’s 24th anniversary celebration and National Tech-Voc Day on August 25.

TESDA Director General, Secretary Guiling “Gene” Mamondiong said that the jobs fair dubbed “World Café of Opportunities through Jobs Linkages and Networking Services”  (WCO through JoLiNS) is one of the strategies to link the technical vocational education and training (TVET) graduates/alumni to employment opportunities both in wage and self-employment.

Some 17,000 job vacancies will be made available during the simultaneous holding of WCO in the country, Mamondiong says.

To avail of the jobs and financial aid, the TESDA chief is inviting all TVET graduates to visit the following WCO Regional sites: Cordillera Autonomous Region (CAR), Universitity of Baguio, Baguio City; Region l, CSI Stadia Lacao, Dagupan City; Region ll, Robinson’s Place Santiago City, Isabela; Region lll, Robinson Starmills Pampanga; Region lV-A, SAVEMORE, Sta. Rosa, Laguna; Region lV-B, Provincial Capitol Complex, Calapan, Or. Mindoro;

In every site, more than 1,000 job vacancies will be presented to the graduates who are looking for jobs or those who want to start their own business with the help of participating companies and partner government agencies.

Mamondiong said the WCO through JoLiNS, conducted with the support of various stakeholders, is a ‘one-stop-shop’ for TVET graduates/alumni wherein national government agencies, private companies, tech-voc institutions and financing institutions all converge in strategic locations to offer all possible employment, training and financing opportunities and facilitate higher job-skill matching.

Most of the jobs that will be offered will be coming from construction as part of the Build, Build, Build Program of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Also, TVET graduates /alumni may apply for financial loan which they can use in starting a business such as baking, hair salon to those who finished hairdressing, automotive shop for automotive mechanic, and welding shop for welding graduates.

The WCO through JoLiNS was officially launched on Aug 7, 2018 in which 13 government institutions and six private organizations signed the Memorandum of Understanding and vowed to support the successful conduct of this event.

On the other hand, the six private associations/organizations which expressed support to the MUO were Federation of the Philippine Industries (FPI), Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Philippines (HRAP), Philippine Constructors Association (PCA), Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Technical Vocational Schools and Associations of the Philippines (TEVSAPHIL), at Tech-Voc Schools Association (TVSA).

The event is part of the week-long celebration of TESDA which started on August 20-26. Other activities are the awarding of institutional awards for industry partners, TVET trainers; Kabalikat Award, Tagsanay Award, and Idols of TESDA.
