PTC Calumpit and Delrias Enterprises partner for SIL program
On March 22, 2024, Provincial Training Center-Calumpit and Delrias Enterprises, located in Paombong, Bulacan, established a Supervised Industry Learning (SIL) partnership for the Dressmaking NC II qualification. Following discussions between Center Administrator Mr. Renato Salas and Delrias Enterprise President Ms. Ria Dela Rosa, a Memorandum of Agreement was signed, reflecting shared goals and objectives. This collaboration underscores TESDA’s commitment to exposing TVET learners to real workplace environments, thereby augmenting their competencies gained through institutional learning with both soft or life skills and technical skills. Providing TVET learners with substantial industry experience before graduation ensures their readiness for the workforce.
Additionally, an upcoming upskilling program for Dressmaking trainers at PTC Calumpit has been agreed upon, scheduled to occur in the second quarter of 2024. This initiative is part of PTC Calumpit’s Institutional Development Plan (IDP), designed to enhance trainers’ development and immerse them in the fashion technology sector’s emerging trends and technologies.
