TESDA BULACAN AND HOLCIM TIES FOR MASONS SKILLS TRAINING

June 27, 2017. TESDA Bulacan and Holcim Phils. signed a Memorandum of Agreement for the training and development of masons from the company’s service areas of Brgys. Matictic and Minuyan, both in Norzagaray. Plant Manager Zita D. Balogo signed in behalf of Holcim Phils. while PD Grace Corazon C. Castillo signed in behalf of TESDA Bulacan. Barangay Chairmen, Hon. Abner C. Palad of Brgy. Matictic and Hon. Edmar M. Tovillo, who was represented by BTEC Mary Rose Atordo were also signatories to the MOA.
The Galing Mason Training Program which targets forty (40) participants started right after the MOA signing this morning and will run for fifteen (15) days. The trainees are entitled to free meals during the entire program and to receive a daily allowance of one hundred pesos (Php100.00). After the training, the participants will undergo the national assessment for Masonry NC II and qualifiers will be entitled to tool kits from Holcim Phils.
Aside from the Galing Mason Training Program, the families and dependents of the Holcim workers and the nearby communities surrounding the plant will also be provided with skills training program within the year as part of Holcim’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program and in consonance with TESDA’s poverty alleviation program.
