TESDA Bulacan Holds CTEC Congress 2016; Awards 3 Best Performing PESO- CTECs

The PESO- CTECs of the province was gathered to attend the 2016 PESO- CTEC Congress today, December 13, 2016 at the Conference Room of the TESDA Bulacan Provincial Office. This is the first gathering of PESO- CTECs after six years. The objective of the Congress was to provide the participants with vital information and direction in the conduct and delivery of skills training programs for 2017 and introduce the reform and development agenda of TESDA under the leadership of Sec. Guiling “Gene” Mamondiong with the program, Barangay Kasanayan para sa Kabuhayan at Kapayapaan.

Architect Norminda Calayag of the Provincial Planning and Development Office of Bulacan shared the 7 Point Development Agenda of the Provincial Government under the leadership of Gov. Wilhelmino Sy- Alvarado. Ms. Elizabeth Alonzo, PESO Manager and Head of PYSEDO, on the other hand gave a very meaningful message regarding the development initiatives of the province and the need for an assessment of the skills training programs vis-a-vis employment or income generation. PD Grace Corazon Castillo presented the TESDA Reform and Development Agenda including the systems in scholarship application.

The 2016 Accomplishment Highlights was presented by TESDA Focal Rowena Tolentino. Towards the end of the program, the three (3) Best Performing PESO- CTECs in the conduct of Community Based Training Programs were recognized: LGU San Jose Del Monte City as 1st Best Performing PESO- CTEC, while LGUs Marilao and Sta. Maria were 2nd and 3rd Best Performing PESO- CTEC respectively.
