TESDA Calumpit Distributes Starter Toolkits to STEP Scholars in Hagonoy
The Provincial Training Center – Calumpit, led by Center Administrator Renato S. Salas, participated in the distribution of starter toolkits to STEP scholars enrolled in the qualification “Produce Organic Concoctions and Extracts”, leading to Organic Agriculture Production NC II. The event, held at the Hagonoy Municipal Hall, was graced by Hon. Floredeliza C. Manlapaz, City Mayor of Hagonoy, along with OIC PESO-Manager Charina M. Cruz. Representing TESDA were Ms. Christel Mae Pangan, TESD Specialist II, and Ms. Michelle Joy Lorenzo, Registrar II.
A total of twenty-five (25) scholars under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) received their starter toolkits, which contained essential materials for extracting and processing farm inputs using fermentation techniques that harness beneficial properties for soil and agricultural use.
Following the distribution, Ms. Pangan and Ms. Lorenzo met with Mayor Manlapaz and PESO Manager Cruz to discuss upcoming TESDA scholarship programs. The conversation focused on possible courses such as SMAW NC I and NC II, Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II and III, Organic Concoction, and Process Food by Sugar Concentration, among others. Mayor Manlapaz expressed her appreciation to TESDA for providing free training and scholarships to the citizens of Hagonoy, emphasizing the positive impact these opportunities have on the community.
