TESDA KorPhil and CTECO Malolos Discuss TESDA sa Barangay Program and Collaboration
In an initial meeting on June 18, 2024, with Engr. Reynaldo Garcia, the OIC of Cmtc Cteco Malolos, TESDA KorPhil Bulacan Center Administrator Ms. Kathrine Angeles, talked about implementing the TESDA sa Barangay program and other partnership interventions in a possible tie-up.
The TESDA sa Barangay program aims to capacitate the LGUs for TVET delivery. An aspect of this is to train the identified personnel of CTEC to develop as their in-house trainer. Ms. Cherry Mendoza of Malolos Training Center opened up about the struggles of having limited available trainers and was hopeful that this collaboration would help their workforce who undergo Trainers Methodology Level I to review in preparation for the competency assessment.
Aside from this, other technical assistance, such as registration of programs under the tourism sector and training delivery to the priority barangays in Malolos, were also discussed. TESDA KorPhil Bulacan CBT Focal Maám Dennie Domingo shared that the Office of Congressman Danilo A. Domingo was interested in forging a partnership and could be of assistance regarding the concerns of funding of CTECO.
The meeting concluded with the possibility of requesting a sit-down meeting with the 1st District Congressman Danilo A. Domingo to seek further assistance in a more explicit talk-through about the TESDA sa Barangay.
Also present were TESDA KorPhil Bulacan Partnership & Linkages Focal Ms. Rizzalynne Molina, Registrar Ms. Andrea Marie Magno, Disbursing Officer Ms. Areli Yerro, and PESO – Malolos Manager Ms. Marrianne Mendoza and Administrative Aide I Mr. Michael Carlos.
