TESDA KorPhil-Bulacan and Kwanii Join Forces for Digital Upskilling

Last June 24, 2025, TESDA Korea-Philippines IT Training Center-Bulacan headed by Ms. Kathrine R. Angeles held a virtual meeting with Kwanii a prominent technology outsourcing provider specializing in workforce development. Mr. Raycel Oviedo, Philippines Country Head of Kwanii, and Ms. Justine Isorena, HR Assistant attended the said meeting together with TESDA KorPhil-Bulacan’s Center Administrator, Ms. Kathrine R. Angeles, and staff, Dr. Christine Irish C. Castillo, Vocational Instruction Supervisor and Ms. Rizzalynne C. Molina, Partnership Focal. The productive discussion focused on three collaboration areas: enhancing TESDA’s Micro Credentialing and EBET Programs through Kwanii’s expertise in various ICT qualifications, developing industry-relevant certification programs, and creating internship opportunities for trainees. Both organizations identified strong alignment in their goals to bridge skills gaps in the Philippine technology sector, with Kwanii proposing actionable solutions based on their industry experience.

The meeting concluded with concrete next steps, including drafting a Memorandum of Agreement to formalize the partnership. There was mutual enthusiasm about the potential impact of combining TESDA’s training framework with Kwanii’s industry insights. This initial discussion laid a strong foundation for what promises to be a valuable, long-term collaboration to upskill Filipino workers for the digital economy.
