PTC Calumpit and Accelerate Construction Services organized Jobs Linkaging and Networking Services

On March 21, 2024, the Provincial Training Center – Calumpit, led by Center Administrator Mr. Renato Salas, organized its second batch of Jobs Linkaging and Networking Services (JoLiNS) in collaboration with Accelerate Construction Services located in Bocaue, Bulacan. The aim was to facilitate the recruitment of skilled workers who have completed TechVoc courses, specifically in the Electrical Sector (Electrical Installation and Maintenance) and Construction Sector (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), along with other positions such as administrative staff, CAD operators, and HR personnel.

Twenty-five graduates from Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II, NC III, as well as Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC I, NC II, underwent individual interviews with Ms. Tamayo, the Chief Human Resource Officer of Accelerate Construction Services. During these interviews, Ms. Tamayo provided insights into the company’s background, operations, and employee benefits. Each applicant’s skills, capabilities, and experience were assessed, and discussions regarding job offers and salary expectations took place accordingly. Subsequently, all applicants underwent scheduled on-site trade tests at Accelerate Construction Services’ ongoing project site in Makati City, which played a crucial role in evaluating their competency and ensuring adherence to high standards.

Following the JoLiNS event, Administrator Renato Salas of PTC-Calumpit, along with Ms. Christel Mae Pangan and Ms. Michelle Joy Lorenzo, discussed the partnership and agreement on the TESDA Program Supervised Industry Learning (SIL) System and Dual Training System (DTS). This culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement for SIL between the Provincial Training Center – Calumpit and Accelerate Construction Services, represented by CHRO Tamayo. The SIL partnership aims to deploy learners from PTC-Calumpit, specifically those enrolled in programs such as Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II, EIM NC III, Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC I, and SMAW NC II, to undergo internships at Accelerate Construction Services’ project sites. This collaboration seeks to provide Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) learners with practical internship experiences to enhance their skills and knowledge in real workplace settings.
